"My paintings are intermediate zones between Reality and Fantasy,
passageways opened up to elsewhere, door ways for the mind.
On the borderline between light and darkness, they are like dreams for
some, nightmares for others. Everyone sees in them what he or she wants
to see. They are all fragments of something bigger, impossible to apprehend
in its entirety. None of these places exists in reality, but they do
exist somewhere, since they are products of the imagination.
Man is generally absent from them, but his traces are omnipresent. The
spectator is the only real character present."
